Jo offers over 15 years of experience in leading Vinyasa Flow classes that are devoted to creating a sacred space in which you can channel energy towards transformative and life affirming means. This is done through intention, dedication, prayer, conscious breath, sound and movements that reflect radical self care in the truth of the moment. Vinyasa is an unhurried exploratory and creative flow that is steeped in the traditions of yoga master Krishnamacharya and the yoga traditions of Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga. With over 20 years of practice and devotion to the healing arts including; meditation, Shiatsu & 5 Element Theory, Energetic Bodywork, Prenatal/Post Natal yoga, Nutrition, Anatomy/Physiology and Core Shamanism; Jo brings into the practice a reverence for the mystery of life and encourages all students to practice with spontaneity by stepping into the unknown.

Yoga

Level 1-2 45 mins

Considering the changes that come with perimenopause and menopause, this yoga practice focuses on weight bearing, coordination, balance, and impact elements to support brain health, muscle mass, and bone density. Expect a few challenging exercises (modifications offered) with moments of recuperation, including a 15-minute cool down to finish. Explore Tabletop, Plank, Donkey Kicks, Squat to Stand, Crescent, Dolphin, and Single-Leg Bridge before closing with Thread the Needle and Janu Sirsasana. This class previously aired on May 6, 2025.

Yoga

With just enough movement to open and energize your body, this class is excellent for starting your day or unwinding after work. The gentle flow focuses on seated and standing postures, with a few prone backbends. Postures include Anjaneyasana (Crescent), Ardha Hanumanasana (Half Split), Standing Forward Fold, Wide-Legged Forward Fold, Triangle, Lizard, and Janu Sirsasana (Head-To-Knee Forward Fold). Calm your mind and nervous system in this quick practice with breathwork and meditation. Begin by establishing a solid seated position, then learn about Box Breathing before practicing this technique on your own. You’ll finish with a quiet moment for Silent Open Awareness Meditation.
